Poverty Bay Café is a wonderful local establishment doing great work for the community!
The food and pastries are great, and the coffee is even better.
Prices are a little high, BUT that money goes to a great cause. Poverty Bay Café is owned by the non profit Fusion which works towards bettering our communities housing shortage.

Food is super good and full of flavor. Cold brew is also amazing. The the workers were very nice in making sure I liked my drink and that they would make any changes or add anything I needed. I also love that they offer half portions where it isn't kids meal restricted. I don't eat a lot in a sitting and the half portions was one of the reasons I chose to eat here.

Our favorite after an early flight back to Seattle has re opened and is amazing! The staff so welcoming, helpful and kind! They look like they truly enjoy their jobs! Food is large portions and came out very quick!! So glad to be coming back!! The French toast was amazing and the breakfast sandwich was gone quickly by my husband.

This is a hidden gem in my opinion. Friendly staff, fast service, good food and a great cause. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast. Also, purchased locally roasted coffee beans with the cutest local names. Nice touch! The people who complain that you order at the counter and have to get your own creamer are just lazy. Lavender lattes are to find where I live. This place has it! Don’t forget to visit Fusion, which is the same company, next door if you like thrifted furniture.

For about $15 I had a hot half corned beef sandwich with sauerkraut and cheese on dark rye, a healthy mixed green salad with a tasty ranch dressing, and a 16 oz four shot coffee. It was delivered to the table promptly. I was asked if everything was OK not long after. Good service, good food, great value :-)

Absolutely 5 stars! The Boverty Bay omelet was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The latte was smooth and excellent as well. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and everything came out quickly. Definitely coming back again!

Yummy breakfast, portion is right proportion with pricing. Staff is friendly, ambiance is not overwhelming like black diner. More laid back setting. Order first before you can seat. There's breakfast, lunch, hot beverage, appetizer, no french fries but there's burgers. Cute funny decors. Lots of sitting and parking. Service is quick about 10min wait.

I can not get enough of this place. Imho it’s the best place for breakfast in the area. Great , fresh ingredients, a lot of creativity and just tasty food. I go back every week for the tuna sandwich and I don’t drink coffee or tea but they have some really imaginative juice options. I love their story and commitment to the community. Prices are good and I love spending locally.
